SATBAYEV UNIVERSITY
As part of the transformation of higher education in Kazakhstan in 2014, K.I. Satpayev University was awarded the category of “National Research University”, which made it possible to work with outstanding scientists of the world. The University cooperates with 174 leading universities from 25 countries (including the USA, England, Germany, Italy, France, China, Korea, Poland). Satbayev University includes the Parasat National Technology Center and 8 research institutes. Currently, Satbayev University conducts joint cooperation in the field of research projects and personnel training with the largest industrial organizations of the mining industry and the oil and gas industry. One of the key directions of Satbayev University is the development of projects in the field of “green technologies” and the extraction of hydrocarbons from alternative sources. The university includes international educational and production centers, subsidiaries opened jointly with Kazakhstani and foreign enterprises. Scientific and innovative activities of NAO K.I. Satpayev KazNTU are aimed at the development of fundamental and applied scientific research in 5 priority scientific areas of the republic, as well as the creation of technical innovations focused on scientific and technological support of priority sectors of the economy with the involvement of private investment and the use of public-private partnership instruments. Satbayev University meets all international requirements for scientific and technical support of major government projects in the field of subsoil use and other areas.

The mission
Assistance to subjects of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities in the implementation of scientific research, development projects, commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities that meet the needs of the real sector of the economy.
The Vision
To become a central office that ensures the interaction of scientists and business in solving their tasks through:
- Assistance to subjects of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities in the implementation of scientific research, development projects, commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities that meet the needs of the real sector of the economy.
- Promotion of the results of scientists’ activities, including intellectual property objects, products and services created during the implementation of projects;
- support of project executors to further promote the results obtained on domestic and foreign markets;
- assistance in attracting investments;
- search for partners;
- implementation of joint projects;
increase of competence.
Strategic areas of activity
Comprehensive support of scientists in the implementation of their research and projects, including joint projects with businesses:
- project support and monitoring at all stages of implementation;
stimulating - the development of scientific infrastructure;
- intellectual property market development;
- improving the competencies of own and participants in commercialization.
providing support to scientists in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with business:
- identifying business needs for scientific research, commercialization of scientific research and the readiness of research institutes/universities to solve the tasks set by business;
- organization of interaction between scientists, private partners, service companies, and international organizations for the implementation of scientific research and commercialization projects of RNNTD;
- raising awareness of the regions about the ongoing policy in the field of science and commercialization of RNSTD.
